Daikin's new ECH²O thermodynamic water heater combines two technologies to deliver both performance and energy savings: heat pump technology and almost instant hot water production.

It has the highest energy performance rating: Label A. Thanks to this, you can consume up to three times less electricity than with a traditional electric water heater. Compared to a conventional tank, the integrated heat pump technology can reduce energy consumption by up to 70% during domestic hot water production. Direct condensation technology and two stainless steel heat exchangers enable hot water to be produced almost instantly. Unlike traditional tanks, the water is not stored, so it is of better quality and contains less limescale. The materials are ultra-high performance and the technologies used eliminate certain constraints of traditional tanks: the risk of corrosion, limescale deposits, anode changes and leaks. Furthermore, this technology does not require any maintenance on the electric backup. If you want to save even more money, it can be connected to self-draining solar panels or pressurised solar panels. As an added bonus, the Daikin thermodynamic water heater is ‘Smart Grid Ready’. This technology aims to optimise your energy consumption using your ‘smart’ electricity meter. The water heater can automatically determine the time when energy production is cheapest to meet your hot water needs. Depending on your needs and consumption habits, there are four control modes to help you reduce your energy consumption as much as possible: Economy, Tranquillity, Silence and Boost.
